Our Church

Encounter Church is a local non-denominational community of believers that come together in love and are unified through our faith in Christ, Our Lord and Savior, for the ultimate purpose of glorifying Him. We as a Church are committed to the teachings of Christ and obeying all of His commands, and we seek to bring the Gospel to the world. We are a loving church family where you can find acceptance, fellowship, and build lasting relationships. You will discover in Pastor Gary's sermons are both uplifting and full of the Word of God.

We invite you to come and discover your purpose! Wednesdays @ 7:00 p.m. and Sundays @ 9:00 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

Be Part of Our Family

We want to encourage you to grow your faith. No matter where you are by joining us each weekend as we broadcast our worship experiences to thousands of people. Wherever you find yourself in life, we want to be a place you can depend on for receiving inspiration, encouragement and the Word of God. Our online family is just as important as our regular attendees at Encounter Church. It does not matter to us where you call home, but we want to encourage you to become a part of our family. It is as simple as joining us online each week for our worship services.

“I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And

be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind,

that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”

Romans 12:1-2

Past Events

Kevin Zadai

On Saturday, June 20, 2020 one of our most faithful and beloved church members Joe Hampton went scuba diving off the coast of Pensacola, FL and died suffering an unknown medical event. His brave dive buddy did everything he could to save him valiantly performing CPR until relieved by military guys from another boat who came to help and then the Coast Guard took over once on the scene. A Coast Guard investigation is ongoing and the autopsy will be performed on Monday.

Joe lived his whole life in Oklahoma. He attended GUTS church and worked at the Tulsa USPS Plant for almost 30 years. He was also a US Special Forces veteran. He and Donna moved to Pensacola 3 years ago. Joe was an incredible husband, who loved talking about Jesus and was preparing to go to India this fall with Pastor Gary for a mission trip to visit a church and ministry we have been supporting. Joe was a faithful dedicated member and servant to Christ, his lovely wife (Donna), family and friends. He will be greatly missed. Please pray for peace and comfort for his family, our church and friends.

Attached is an underwater photo from when he was younger. He & Donna loved taking the Spyder and trailer to the beach, and took this photo last Saturday. The closeup photo was Christmas 2016.

Date for a Memorial Service will be announced as soon as details are completed.
